Adam Parker is an Associate Collections Curator at York Museum Trust and a PhD student in Classical Studies with the Open University. His thesis is on the “Archaeology of Magic in Roman Britain” and his research focusses on the materiality, ephemerality, and sensory approaches to, ancient magic. He has published widely on the apotropaic use of sexual imagery in the ancient world.
